Diets and New Years Resolutions
Ran across an article talking about the fleeting interest people have in diets immediately following the holidays. The funny/sad thing is that although traffic to diet web sites spikes in the first week of January, in some cases 70-80 percent, it begins to decline as soon as the second week.
Obviously the problem with sudden interest in dieting is its lack of sustainability. Doing things on the spur of the moment, even if they’re the right thing to do, still requires commitment. Without it, who cares if you’re back to your old habits a week later?
