Make and Take!

I’ve written before about preparing a week’s worth of meals with Dream Dinners (see: Assemble Your Own Meals). Now I’ve run across another business with a similar offering: Sociale

Their value proposition is pretty simple:

Spend one hour in our gourmet kitchen and leave with up to 12 entrées to take home to your freezer.

I particularly like this trend towards creation and consumption, because it provides an opportunity for learning and an avenue for self-sufficiency. Each month the recipes change, and each month you have a chance to learn new skills, new recipes, and work with (and taste!) new ingredients. And of course you have the benefits of community from cooking together in a shared environment.

I’m sure there are more services like this out there, and I’m really interested in learning more about them. Anyone know of some others? Has anyone used one of these services before? What was the experience like?
