Mange2

‘Mange2’ is a unique piece of edible packaging that results in zero waste from Sebastiano Oddi, graduate of the University of Brighton.

‘Mange2’ is a picnic container for two made of baked bread, which allows the entire packaging to be eaten along with its contents. The container also has instruction imprinted on the underside negating the need for any further labelling.

By manipulating the gaseous structure of bread ‘Mange2’ has been designed to create a practical and wholly edible (degradable) ‘fresh’ product proposal. Sebastiano sought to create an innovative solution to the mountains of plastics packaging used to over package supermarket products, which take 100’s of years to biodegrade. ‘Mange2’ reduces
the current enormous difference between lifespan of product and packaging.
